New Series on Wednesday Nights: “Battle of the Sexes”
All 6-12th grade students are invited to join us as we discuss the struggles teenagers have in relationships with the opposite sex.
February 4 – “What is Love?” :: A Look into God’s design for us to love.
February 11- “Baby, Don’t Hurt Me…” :: Guarding your heart in the dating world.
February 18- “No More…” :: Maintaining sexual purity in a sexual society.
**Please note: There will be mature subject matter covered during this series (namely Week 3). If you’d prefer your child not to be involved in these discussions, we completely respect that decision and look forward to seeing them in the future.

Disciple Now is a Student Retreat for 6-12th grade students. Students will stay in host homes with families from Grace Fellowship, join in small group dialogues, participate in a service project, and come together in the evenings for worship experiences with over 300 students in the county.
Grace Fellowship is privileged to host this year’s Dnow. Worship will be led by Aaron Keyes (worship leader at Grace Fellowship Church in Lawrenceville, GA and nationally recognized artist). Anson McMahon (student pastor at 12 Stone church in Lawrenceville, GA) will be our speaker. The theme for DNow is “Here and Now” and we will encourage students to pursue God’s will for their lives “Here & Now” rather than simply preparing for something in the future.
This year’s DNow will be February 27-March 1. Cost is now $50.
If you are interested in serving for the weekend, please contact Pastor Bronson. We need volunteers for Host Homes, Meals, Registration, Security, and Transportation.

Middle school and high school students will now be separated for more age-specific messages. 3- 3D Cafe will be open for students to purchase snacks/drinks during the service. We’ve all made resolutions and set goals, but too often we fall short of what we expected to accomplish. Unfortunately it’s often the same when we try to become the Christian we really believe God has called us to be. We fall short of the goal and become increasingly discouraged. In this series, your student will learn that following Christ is more about the small steps we make every day, not about the huge leaps of faith that we think we need to make. They will set a goal, determine the first step and then make it. The series will end with a celebration!
Week One (July 9)
Following Christ is about steps, not leaps. This week your students will be introduced to the myth: that Christianity is all about taking big leaps of faith. They will encounter some of Scripture’s most daunting verses, and wrestle with what it means to have a life of spiritual growth. Each student will set a goal for himself or herself, and the next few weeks they will revisit their goals.
Week Two (July 16)
The way you get from where you are to where you want to be is one step at a time. This may sound ridiculously obvious, but we all forget it. We want to go to the gym one time and look like a model; we want to make one smart comment at work and be promoted right to the top. But we know deep down that isn’t the way things work. The good news is that in our spiritual development, God has not left us alone to work out the mess. He has sent His Spirit to guide us. This week, students will look at the power of the Holy Spirit to guide their paths, and they will make a plan for beginning to take the first step toward their goals.
Week Three (July 30)
Celebrate the steps you take in your relationship with God, and celebrate the steps others take as well. It’s all about celebration, not the cheap kind of celebration that comes from making a big deal out of nothing, but the real party that comes naturally when we know that we have made even the slightest move in the right direction. Your students will talk this week about what it looks like to encourage each other and celebrate with each other whenever they make progress toward one of their goals.

Week Four (June 18)

No person can have a life in rhythm if they are not at peace with the people around them. In the final week of this series students will be challenged to be in rhythm with others, to be passionate about serving those they encounter and to seek forgiveness and reconciliation when needed.

Week Three (June 11)
This week students will explore the things that create tension in their own self-perception and learn the ugly truth: Being in rhythm with ourselves and being in rhythm with God go hand in hand. How we view God our Creator affects how we view His creation, ourselves. They will consider the masks they wear and the faults they try to cover up, and they’ll receive a challenge to begin to shed those masks and be at peace with who they really are.

Week Two (June 4)
This second week, students will be challenged to look at God in new ways. Many times we find that we are so familiar with “churchy” descriptions of God that we forget who He really is. And when we forget who God is, how awesome and surprising He can be, then we are tempted to turn our attention and affection to other things and our lives fall out of tune. In week two students will be challenged to discover a God who is bigger than our attempts to define Him.
